A 12-year-old schoolgirl nicknamed “Tóxica” in Madrid has been suspended from her school but will not face any legal action after stabbing her 14-year-old boyfriend. She will be 13 this month.

Children under 14 are not considered responsible for their actions and if they are caught committing a crime; the police can only return them to their parents or legal guardians.

ThinkSpain reports “She stabbed Markus five times with a ‘sharp object’, which has not been defined, leaving him in a serious condition and having to be rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.”

A 13-year-old Spanish boy armed with a crossbow murdered his substitute teacher and wounded four others at his school in Barcelona in 2013. He too was not liable for arrest.
